Groundperson - Union - ATE

The Groundperson is a key member of our line clearance crew, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient removal of vegetation from utility lines and equipment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate chainsaws and other equipment to cut and remove vegetation from utility lines and equipment.
- Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chippers to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Service and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with crew members to achieve daily and weekly goals.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be willing to join the local union and pay union dues.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Entry-level position, no experience required.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
The Groundperson will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, exposed to various weather conditions and physical demands. The ability to work safely and effectively in this environment is essential.
