LEAD INSTRUCTOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee inventory management and coordinate the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment for the department.

Engage in Advisory Board Meetings to communicate externship issues, monitor student progress, assess student outcomes, and ensure community satisfaction is relayed to the Faculty Coordinator and Campus Director.

Curriculum Development
Review and provide feedback on curriculum to the Corporate Education Department during program updates.
Evaluate textbooks and suggest revisions to the Corporate Education Department during textbook review cycles.

Collaborate with Career Services to maintain regular communication with clinical sites and document the oversight and evaluation of students during their clinical experiences.

Instructional Management
Design and assess daily lesson plans.
Structure instruction to meet specific objectives based on student needs and the established curriculum.

Track student attendance and coordinate with the Associate Director regarding any absences exceeding two consecutive days.

Generate weekly attendance reports for the office management team.
Analyze student success rates and implement strategies to minimize withdrawals. Conduct meetings with students to motivate retention in the program. Aim to maintain an 80% success rate across all classes taught.
Maintain student grades in compliance with established policies. Prepare final grades at the conclusion of each semester to update student records and transcripts.
Assess student performance in relation to curriculum achievements and activities, making necessary adjustments to meet learning requirements.
Organize and facilitate guest lectures, community field trips, and visits to laboratories and clinics.
Prepare and deliver lectures and practical demonstrations for students both in group settings and individually. Instruct students in laboratory procedures.
Provide guidance and support to students regarding the Phlebotomy program curriculum.
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies and equipment as needed.
Coordinate externship opportunities for Phlebotomy students.
The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and may be expanded as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited Phlebotomy Technician program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or completion of a recognized training program (e.g., hospital-based program) as a Phlebotomy Technician.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Phlebotomist, and/or three (3) years of teaching experience in Phlebotomy.

Possession of a current license, certification, or other designation as mandated by local, state, or federal regulations to practice in the Phlebotomy field.

Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations is preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
