Job Title: Registered Nurse

Community Services Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health diagnoses or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will work in our Adolescent Residential Treatment Facility, providing direct care to residents and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct health appraisals and provide assistance to physicians as needed
  • Evaluate and assess physical health conditions, and assist with treatments prescribed by physicians
  • Administer and monitor medications, ensuring error-free administration at prescribed times
  • Monitor vital signs and intakes and outputs
  • Train employees to correctly carry out physician orders
  • Educate individuals on medication, physical health, psychiatric health, nutrition, and self-care
  • Work with and coordinate care with pharmacy, physicians, and other healthcare providers
  • Assist with medication refills and obtain medication and treatment as needed
  • Complete medication progress sheets, medication release forms, and medication records as required
  • Schedule and attend medical appointments, and drive van to appointments and outings
  • Provide or direct the provision of nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act and legal responsibilities
  • Facilitate weekly Wellness Groups for residents
  • Conduct pre-evaluation for psychiatric evaluation as needed
Requirements:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania with at least one year of psychiatric experience
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to learn the theories, principles, and techniques of group and individual psychotherapy
