Overview: The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta seeks up to two senior research economists with a PhD and at least 5 years of post-PhD experience. Successful candidates will have outstanding research records and contribute to monetary policy advice. They will interact with senior policymakers on topics related to monetary policy, possessing exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
About the Role: As a Senior Research Economist, you will be part of an excellent research environment that provides substantial support for research and travel. You will have access to restricted data through the Atlanta Federal Statistical Research Data Center. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting findings to policymakers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- • PhD in Economics or a related field
• At least 5 years of post-PhD experience in academic or policy institutions
• Excellent research record and publication history
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior policymakers
