Job Title: Teletherapy Occupational Therapist

As a teletherapy occupational therapist, you will provide remote therapy services to clients using digital communication tools. Your responsibilities will vary based on the specific needs of your clients, the setting in which you work, and the populations you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Identify goals and develop individualized treatment plans to help clients reach their objectives.
  • Implement therapy sessions using video conferencing tools and adapt activities for remote delivery.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate clients and families on strategies and techniques to enhance therapy outcomes.
  • Provide emotional and motivational support to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with telehealth regulations and state-specific licensing laws.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
