About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Corporate Credit Risk Specialist to join our dynamic Portfolio Management Group. In this role, you will be responsible for managing credit assessments for clients within the General Industries sector, focusing on non-investment grade public and private corporate borrowers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough credit evaluations and prepare comprehensive credit applications, assessing corporate, regulatory, and industry risks.
2. Analyze historical and projected operating performance, as well as capital structures, to determine risk ratings in accordance with established guidelines.
3. Engage in active credit management and underwriting of new transactions, utilizing strong analytical skills to identify risks and mitigants.
4. Monitor existing credits for potential upgrades, downgrades, or deterioration, aiming to optimize the bank's net income while minimizing credit costs.

Additional Duties:
- Perform due diligence on new transactions and regularly evaluate the existing loan portfolio.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication of account information.
- Maintain knowledge of assigned industries and current events affecting the portfolio.
- Oversee compliance with covenants and facilitate facility closing due diligence.
- Participate in client meetings and special projects as needed.

Advanced Solutions:
- Work collaboratively within a deal team environment to support the development and analysis of financing strategies.
- Prescreen proposed transactions to identify critical structural issues and risks.
- Support credit analysis for structured credit transactions and maintain industry knowledge.

Policy and Compliance:
- Assist in communication with the credit approval division to align risk strategies with policies.
- Evaluate and establish appropriate ratings for transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics (CFA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial institution, accounting firm, or rating agency, focusing on corporate risk analysis.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience in corporate credit analysis.
- Completion of a formal credit-training program at a major bank is advantageous.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Compensation and Benefits:
The typical base salary for this position ranges from $100K to $110K, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role may also include performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, educational assistance, and paid leave.
