Job Summary

Alaska Regional Hospital AK is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team in a travel position. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic mammography, stereotactic guided biopsies, and wire locs.
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, including Hologic Selenia Dimensions and Affirm Stereotactic.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality control measures to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • ARRT (M) (R) certification and BLS certification.
  • 8 hours of Tomosynthesis training.
  • Experience in mammography procedures, including stereotactic guided biopsies and wire locs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 7a-3:30p (no call).
  • Unit: Mammography/Diagnostic & Radiology.
  • EMR: Epic, Volpara, McKesson PACS.
