QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree along with a valid West Virginia Teaching Certification in Early Education K-4, Elementary Education K-6, or Multi-Subjects K-8 relevant to the role. Candidates must demonstrate the capability to effectively manage an instructional program tailored for young learners.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create a classroom environment that promotes learning
2. Design educational plans and organize class schedules to ensure a well-rounded instructional program
3. Teach students in accordance with state laws, curricula, and local educational guidelines
4. Provide individualized and small group instruction as needed
5. Modify curriculum to accommodate students with diverse intellectual and special needs
6. Establish and uphold standards of student behavior necessary for a productive learning atmosphere
7. Oversee students during extracurricular activities throughout the school day
8. Assess each student's performance and growth in knowledge; track progress towards educational goals; prepare reports
9. Engage with parents and school counselors regarding student progress; foster positive relationships among students, parents, and teachers
10. Maintain attendance records and other necessary documentation
11. Act as a resource for interdepartmental collaboration
12. Comply with all federal, state, and local educational regulations
13. Arrive at work early and remain after school as required
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by the school principal.

EMPLOYMENT TERM:
Contract for the school year with an anticipated start date in mid-August.

SALARY:
Compensation will be based on experience and educational qualifications, in accordance with the district's salary schedule, along with a competitive benefits package.
