Network Engineer III Job Description

At Inland Empire Health Plan, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network architecture to meet business needs, including Cisco platforms and WAN circuits.
  • Provide technical support to remote area networks, Internet, and VPN communications.
  • Troubleshoot network usage, perimeter security, and network appliances.
  • Develop and implement policies and standards to ensure security procedures are followed.
  • Build and maintain external and internal web presence, administer networks, and perform backups.
  • Document network infrastructure and design.
  • Assist with space planning associated with network infrastructure needs.
  • Research, order, configure, and administer WAN circuits.
  • Work with vendors, clients, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
  • Assist in design, installation, and management of network security solutions.
  • Provide level 3 support on client-level IT issues resulting in production downtime.
Requirements:
  • Minimum eight (8) years of Network Design and Administration hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco routers, switches, and security solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in computer-related field or similar technical field from an accredited institution required.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.
