We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Sikich LLC. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, identifying and researching tax planning and compliance issues, and assisting partners and managers in consulting with clients on financial and tax planning matters.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex tax returns, including consolidated or multi-state business returns, complex pass-through entities, and complex individuals.
- Prepare or review income tax accruals and related footnote disclosures.
- Review business, individual, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Identify and research tax planning and compliance issues.
- Assist partners and managers in consulting with clients on financial and tax planning matters.
- Coach and mentor junior-level staff.
- Demonstrate an interest in practice development.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or EA certification (or progress towards certification).
- 5+ years of current public accounting experience.
- Proficiency with computerized tax software and MS Office.
- Strong client rapport and project management skills.
- Supervisory experience.
- Flexible schedule.
- Ability to service multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills with the emphasis on ability to articulate complex tax and financial information to all levels of clients.
