Job Description

Staff Today is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to fill a local contract position in Augusta, Georgia.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner
  • Prepare patients for blood draws by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have
  • Use aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety
  • Label and transport blood samples to the laboratory for analysis
  • Maintain accurate records of blood samples collected and patient information
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g. CPT, RPT)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
