Biology Lecturer

Job Title: Biology Instructor
MCPHS University seeks a dedicated and experienced Biology Instructor to teach General Biology I and Microbiology labs on our Boston campus. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Biology and experience teaching laboratory courses at the college/university level.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires a master's degree in Biology or a related field, as well as experience teaching laboratory courses at the college/university level. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging instructional content, including lectures, labs, and discussions.
• Create and implement assessments that measure student learning outcomes.
• Supervise students during lab sessions and provide feedback on their performance.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to develop curriculum and improve teaching methods.
• Stay current with developments in the field of Biology and incorporate new research and findings into the curriculum.

Requirements

• A minimum of a master's degree in Biology or a related field.
• A minimum of one year of teaching experience at the college/university level.
• Experience teaching laboratory courses at the college/university level and/or a strong practical background.
• A commitment to undergraduate, graduate, and/or professional education and student success.
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals).

We offer a competitive salary range of $$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
