The ideal candidate will provide testing and inspection of fire sprinklers in accordance with all applicable codes and authorities having jurisdiction. They will also perform repairs to deficient systems and conduct preventive maintenance. The Fire Sprinkler System Inspector must prepare accurate and timely reports, which may include signed inspections and service tickets.

A successful candidate will possess general mechanical experience, adaptability in a fast-paced work environment, and a willingness to train and learn aspects of plumbing. They will be able to prioritize tasks, pay attention to detail, and maintain high customer service, responsiveness, and professional business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of fire alarm and sprinkler systems
  • Repair sprinkler systems by work orders
  • Prepare accurate and detailed reports
  • Communicate solutions to identified deficiencies with customers
  • Perform tasks in accordance with safety procedures and use proper PPE
  • Cut, thread, and install black pipe
  • Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic
  • Coordinate work with the manager and team
  • Provide information required by managers to keep jobs organized and customers informed of progress
  • Keep the vehicle clean and organized
  • Complete paperwork as required on a timely basis

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years or more of fire sprinkler, alarm, or life safety experience required
  • Current driver's license and clean driving record
  • NICET Certification is required
  • RME-I License and Backflow certifications preferred
