Overview

Hurley Veterinary Hospital is a fast-paced, 5-doctor AAHA-accredited practice seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. We offer a dynamic work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-patient medical care, including administering medications, assisting with treatments, and monitoring patients.
  • Assist with anesthesia and surgery, including prepping, induction, maintenance, and recovery of patients.
  • Provide dental care, including ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, and assist with dental surgery.
  • Perform laboratory duties, including collecting, preparing, and running samples for requested tests.
  • Communicate with clients, providing updates, discharge instructions, and education on at-home care procedures.
  • Assist with reception and front desk duties, including answering phones, booking appointments, and admitting/discharging patients.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in veterinary technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The veterinary technician must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker.
