  • Serve as a clinical resource in specialized areas such as pediatric speech and neurological disorders.
  • Guide and mentor Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental protocols and treatment methodologies.
  • Design and implement therapy programs for diverse patient demographics.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment adjustments.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' communicative capabilities.
  • Provide education and support to patients' families and caregivers regarding treatment plans.
  • Conduct training sessions for healthcare staff on speech therapy fundamentals.
  • Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy through professional development opportunities.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and other departments.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least one year of clinical experience in dysphagia management.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in Speech Pathology.

Education:

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Licensure:

  • Current California Speech Pathologist license is required.
  • American Heart Association approved BLS certification is necessary prior to employment.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) must be obtained before starting the position.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ability to apply theories and techniques of Speech Therapy effectively.

This position requires flexibility for weekday and weekend shifts, with a commitment to a minimum number of shifts per quarter.
