Charge Nurse & Assisted Living Director

GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering both personal and non-personal care support to residents, ensuring adherence to each individual's personalized care plan. This position is dedicated to maintaining safe and suitable living conditions for residents while fostering their independence in daily activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :
- Monitors vital signs as required.
- Aids residents with bathing, dressing, and other personal care tasks as outlined in their care plans.
- Assists residents with transportation to dining areas, salons, and activities.
- Conducts routine visits to residents as necessary.
- Keeps the Charge Nurse and Assisted Living Director updated on resident conditions.
- Responds swiftly to requests for assistance.
- Supports meal service, including setting tables, serving food, and cleaning dining areas.
- Performs light housekeeping duties such as changing linens, removing trash, and managing personal laundry.
- Accurately documents resident progress and condition changes as needed.
- Completes all assigned tasks on the shift checklist.
- Upholds the community's Hospitality Promises, ensuring a warm and respectful environment for all residents.

OTHER DUTIES :
- Ensures a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment.
- Maintains tools and supplies in optimal condition.
- Adheres to safety protocols and uses safety equipment as per policies.
- Complies with hygiene standards and dress code.
- Respects confidentiality and maintains resident dignity at all times.
- Provides high-quality customer service to residents and their visitors.
- Responsible for resident safety during emergencies.
- Participates in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must possess a current certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
- High School diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in high school.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to understand measurements.
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to interpret instructions.
- Capable of working collaboratively with residents, families, and staff.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and emergency response.
- Experience with elderly care is advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of the workday.
- Capable of working in various indoor and outdoor settings.
- Must be able to assist residents with mobility and personal care.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently.
- Must maintain focus and attention to detail despite potential distractions.
- May encounter various environmental factors and health risks.
