Early Childhood Education Assistant - Full Time

  • Work collaboratively with educators to foster healthy eating habits through engaging activities and communal dining experiences.
  • Maintain precise documentation of attendance, meal statistics, and incidents as directed.
  • Participate in essential training sessions to fulfill licensing obligations and effectively support children and their families.
  • Provide safe transportation services as required.
  • Receive training in Social Learning Theory and apply these methodologies in practice.
  • Assist the Director and VOA personnel in adhering to licensing regulations and program standards.

Work Schedule: Full-time role (40 hours per week) available from 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday.

Educational Background/Experience:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory; an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education is advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively engage with young children to support their growth and development.
  • A valid driver's license and strong communication skills are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for up to 95% of the workday.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, and respond swiftly to emergencies.
  • Engage in physical activities with children for prolonged periods.
  • Possess sufficient hearing and vision to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
