Senior Cardiac Imaging Specialist / Cardiac Sonographer
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Cardiac Sonographers to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in supporting our medical operations and addressing the increasing demand for outpatient procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document routine echocardiographic ultrasound examinations following established departmental protocols.
- Utilize various ultrasound equipment and transducers on diverse patient populations.
- Identify normal and abnormal conditions, adjusting examinations as necessary to ensure comprehensive and precise results.
- Prepare and position patients effectively to achieve optimal imaging quality.
- Analyze acquired data and generate preliminary reports in accordance with departmental standards.
- Collaborate with fellow sonographers to ensure timely completion of scheduled echocardiographic studies.
- Participate in a supportive team environment, contributing to effective communication and productivity.
Compensation and Benefits
The final compensation package will be determined based on institutional policies and the experience of the selected candidate.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography training program.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to cover shifts during weekends and holidays.
- Prior experience in performing adult cardiac echocardiograms.
- Registry through ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCCS, RCS) within four months of hire.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from a formal accredited ultrasound training program.
- Experience in an academic hospital setting.
- Familiarity with congenital heart disease and advanced cardiac therapies.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems.
