Position Overview:
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in patient care by ensuring the effective use of medications and overseeing drug distribution services.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and interpret prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness while collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve any discrepancies.
2. Analyze patient data to recommend optimal drug therapies and make necessary clinical interventions in collaboration with providers.
3. Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile products, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
4. Ensure compliance with medication formulary and therapeutic substitution programs to optimize drug therapy and control costs.
5. Maintain accurate documentation, including medical records and controlled substances logs, as required.
6. Provide counseling to patients and their families regarding medication-related issues.
7. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff during your shift, ensuring efficient workflow.
8. Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
9. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
10. Mentor pharmacy students and new staff, contributing to their professional development.

Qualifications:
Education:
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy

Licensure:
Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.

Experience:
No prior experience is required.

Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
