Job Summary

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality ultrasound services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations under the guidance of a physician.
  • Analyze ultrasound images for quality control purposes.
  • Prepare completed examinations for interpretation by the physician.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively.
  • Transport and position patients safely.
  • Assist physicians with special procedures involving sonography.
  • Promote positive interpersonal and intradepartmental relations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved ultrasound program or equivalent.
  • Registered with the ARDMS or eligible for registration.
  • Participation in FMC University classes or graduate preferred.
  • One year of experience under a qualified physician preferred.

Physical Demands

This role requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
