Job Summary

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital. As a Physical Therapist, you will work in a fast-paced outpatient rehab clinic treating primarily orthopedic and neurologically involved patients with physical therapy diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services to patients with various conditions, including orthopedic and neurological disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient goals and improve functional outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, evaluations, and reassessments to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in electronic health records, preferably using Epic.
Requirements
  • IL License
  • 1 Year Experience
  • Required skills include experience in outpatient physical therapy, experience treating orthopedic and neurologically involved patients, and experience with electronic health records, preferably Epic.
  • Must also possess excellent communication skills, compassion, and respect for others, teamwork, and flexibility.
  • Required: Geriatrics, neurology, ortho, outpatient clinic, AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, body mechanics, identifying environmental barriers, pain assessment, strength testing, vital signs, documentation: assessment, discharge, evaluation, long-term goals, plan of care, reassessments, short-term goals, time management.
  • Equipment and devices: crutches, gait belt, standard walker, traction table. Home exercise program, patient family education, signs & symptoms physical, sexual, psychological abuse, safety and injury prevention. Manual therapy, state licensed.
  • BCLS
  • Neurologically involved patients and experience with electronic health record preferably.
  • Preferred: sport medicine, sliding boards, moist heat, phonophoresis, ultrasound, medications, EPIC.
