We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health System Director of Pharmacy to join our team at CPS Solutions, LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws.
You will be responsible for recommending innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carrying out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations, leadership, and management, with a proven track record of success in a complex health system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities
- Recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration
- Carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team
- Assist with the security of the pharmacies and controlled substances
- Recruit and hire pharmacy staff
- Ensure all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements are being met
- Ensure provision of optimal services
- Enhance financial performance
Requirements:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- Current Montana Pharmacist license in good standing
- 3+ years of recent Pharmacy Director experience in a complex health system
- At least 5 years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting
