Job Summary:

The Personal Banker Associate I is a key role in our Retail Banking team, focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Building Strong Customer Relationships: Use the consultative sales process to identify and meet the financial needs of customers, providing personalized solutions and recommendations.
  • Driving Sales and Growth: Proactively reach out to customers, engage in outside sales activities, and cross-sell to existing customers to enhance revenue growth.
  • Providing Expert Financial Guidance: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services, recommending solutions that meet customers' needs.
  • Collaborating with Business Partners: Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners, referring customers to provide timely and holistic financial solutions.
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service: Provide guidance to CSRs, promote customer satisfaction, and maintain a position of trust and responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Financial Industry Experience: Experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Sales and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze credit and financial information and make sound decisions.
  • Professional Representation: Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and verbal/written communication.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal Office Environment: Work in a normal office environment with extended viewing of computer screens.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility.
