Crating Technician

• Safely operate woodworking machinery, including saws and nail guns.
• Prepare and package finished products to prevent damage during transit.
• Adhere to General Work Instructions and verbal directives to ensure quality packaging.
• Interpret documentation such as BOMs, prints, and parts lists.
• Utilize measurements to determine appropriate crate sizes and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of weights and dimensions using Teams/Excel.
• Manage inventory levels by submitting purchasing requests as needed.
• Ensure a clean and organized workspace through regular housekeeping practices.
• Participate in monthly safety training and uphold all safety protocols.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, including shipping and assembly duties.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience or education.
• Proficient in operating power tools related to woodworking.
• Ability to read measurements and perform basic calculations for crate sizing.
• Familiarity with palletizing techniques and procedures.
• Safe operation of crane systems is required.
• Forklift and electric pallet jack certification must be obtained shortly after hiring; prior certification is a plus.
• Must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment physical and drug screening is required.
