Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and perform clinical treatments as per the established care plan.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively to the healthcare team, including physicians and family members.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care, including transfers and discharges.
- Assess the educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education based on individual circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients, ensuring their rights and privacy are respected.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
Education: Must possess a current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.
Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required. BLS certification must be obtained within the first week of orientation, while ACLS and PALS certifications should be completed within the first three months of employment.
