Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Precision Scans Inc. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' internal structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT scanners and associated software to produce images of various anatomical structures, ensuring optimal image quality and clarity for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Greet and prepare patients for procedures by explaining the CT process, positioning patients correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety during the scan.
  • Prepare and administer IV contrast agents as per protocol, monitor patient reactions, and take necessary actions in case of adverse effects.
  • Verify the quality of CT images, ensuring all necessary views are captured, and transfer images to the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for interpretation by the radiologist.
  • Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance on CT equipment, report any malfunctions or required repairs to the appropriate personnel, and ensure radiation protection protocols are strictly followed for patients, staff, and self.
  • Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and any relevant details in the patient's medical record.
  • Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, HIPAA).
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT).
  • Valid state license for Radiologic Technology (if required by state).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a CT Tech is preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in a hospital or imaging center environment.
  • Requires standing for long periods, moving patients, and handling medical equipment.
  • Potential exposure to radiation, infectious diseases, and bloodborne pathogens.
