Your contributions are vital to our mission. Every role impacts patient care, and we seek a committed Nursing Manager for the Medical Surgical Unit to join our team.

Reporting to the Nursing Director, the Nursing Manager for the Medical Surgical Unit will oversee daily operations and ensure effective management within the nursing department. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring high-quality patient care and effective communication among staff.
• Supervising charge nurses and supporting their leadership roles.
• Coordinating patient care and administrative functions on a 24-hour basis.
• Managing clinical practices, staff recruitment, and performance evaluations.
• Overseeing compliance with regulatory standards and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

A. Licensure/Certification:

• Active Registered Nurse License in South Carolina or a Compact State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 90 days of hire.
• National certification in specialty preferred.

B. Education: Must be a graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

C. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Med/Surg nursing with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
