Key Responsibilities

The Surgical Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating transportation services for surgical patients, ensuring seamless transitions between home, hospital, and post-operative care.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a schedule for timely pick-ups and drop-offs pre- and post-surgery.
  • Confirm transportation details with patients prior to their procedure date.
  • Contact patients to confirm transportation needs, provide pick-up times, and answer questions about the process.
  • Address patient concerns or special requirements, such as mobility assistance or medical equipment needs.
  • Work closely with hospital transportation teams, contracted drivers, or third-party providers.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Sensitivity to varying cultures and ability to interact with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and basic computer applications.
  • Familiarity with hospital operations and patient care standards.
  • Previous experience in patient transportation, healthcare coordination, or related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
