Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Engineer II to join our team at First Technology Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for assessing IT security architecture, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing controls to prevent security events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer testing and security controls to ensure compliance with software and hardware requirements.
  • Enhance the security of existing technologies, including network, malware, firewalling, and IPS.
  • Provide expert advice on security design and planning for credit union-wide networks and technology infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain clear and concise application and process documentation.
  • Coordinate the implementation and support of applications, network, and infrastructure systems.
  • Collect and publish IT metrics to inform process improvement recommendations.
  • Assist in the development of security standards for the credit union.
  • Provide 24/7 support with rotating on-call duties.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in systems engineering or IT security incident management/troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, authentication protocols, and content security gateways.
  • Strong knowledge of network technologies, including dynamic/static routing, switching, and WLAN.
  • Ability to problem solve effectively and work autonomously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
