**Estimated Salary:** $112,750 per year

**Job Description:**

The Anesthesiology Specialist will work under the medical direction of an Anesthesiologist to develop anesthetic plans and administer anesthesia in assigned locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide quality patient care considering age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble necessary supplies, drugs, and equipment for each case, and test equipment to ensure proper functioning for surgical procedures.
  • Discuss and develop anesthetic plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists.
  • Review patients' medical records to determine types of procedures to be performed and evaluate patients' medical status.
  • Establish or confirm the presence of appropriate intravenous access.
  • Insert arterial catheters, perform spinal anesthesia, and IV regional anesthesia if trained and credentialed.
  • Provide emergency airway support as requested throughout the facility.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nurse Anesthesiology with a master's degree or PhD.
  • CRNA certification, RN and CRNA specialty nursing license in the state of Michigan or receipt within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.
  • Prior experience preferred.
