Position Overview
The Medical Doctors of St. John's are in search of a dedicated hospitalist to become part of their collaborative team. This role offers the opportunity to significantly influence patient care while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of California.
- Practice at a leading health center in a coastal city
- Manage an average of 15-17 patients during each 12-hour shift
- Work alongside a team of 7-8 hospitalists during day shifts
- Provide care with 1-2 hospitalists during night shifts
- Engage in concurrent rounding and admitting shifts with the possibility of swing shifts
- Benefit from a closed ICU with around-the-clock in-house coverage for rapid responses
- Focus on primary medicine with opportunities for post-operative surgical co-management
- Annual requirement of 183 shifts, each lasting 12 hours
- Encouragement for early to mid-career professionals to explore available roles
- Must be a graduate of an accredited medical institution
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program is required
- Must hold an active or eligible California medical license
- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with primary care providers, specialists, and hospital staff, as well as patients and their families.
- Compensation ranges from $270,322 to $361,204 annually
- This salary range reflects the starting total compensation and may include additional incentives based on productivity, quality, performance, and other relevant factors. Providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their employer.
