Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other Service Directors to identify and implement innovative models and best practices, emphasizing service improvements and cost reduction.
  • Quality and Utilization Standards: Direct the development and implementation of quality and utilization standards across the continuum of care to ensure coordinated plans of treatment, customer-focused delivery of services, and cost-effective utilization of necessary services.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with administrative, legal, and regulatory requirements of the Health Plan contract and governmental and accrediting agencies.
  • Human Resource Management: Manage and resolve human resource, labor relations, employee, and department safety and risk management issues.
  • Financial Management: Direct the budget and resource allocations, manage the financial performance, and identify and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care and services.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum eight (8) years of nursing experience in patient care and five (5) years of management experience.
  • Education: BSN or BA in a healthcare-related field required.
  • Licensure: Basic Life Support and Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
