Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Caregiver to join our team. As a Senior Caregiver, you will provide high-quality care to our clients, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. You will also provide emotional support and companionship to our clients, helping to maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Assist clients with transferring from bed to chair, chair to chair, or chair to bed as necessary
  • Assist clients in ambulation with or without assistive devices such as walkers and canes
  • Monitor clients and report any variances to normal to the nurse for further assessment
  • Take vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate)
  • Transport clients and equipment as needed per Agency policy
  • Turn and reposition bedridden clients to prevent breakdown of their skin
  • Follow universal precautions to prevent the spread of disease
  • Record amount of oral intake and measure urinary output
  • Position and empty bedpans and/or urinals as necessary
  • Collect non-invasive specimens for tests
  • Record care notes on a mobile app
  • Transfer clients using a patient lift
  • Interact with clients and family
  • Change bed linens

You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate effectively with clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
