Your responsibilities will include fostering relationships with clients and your engagement team, utilizing advanced audit technology to collaborate effectively, innovate solutions, and enhance the client's financial reporting process.

Your daily responsibilities may encompass:
• Actively listening and communicating with clients regarding engagement expectations, while also updating them on accounting, financial, and regulatory changes that may impact their organization.

• Planning, executing, and finalizing financial statement audits while managing budgets and taking on an in-charge role as necessary.

• Training and supervising audit associates and interns, providing them with consistent and constructive feedback.

• Collaborating with your team to design audit procedures using innovative audit technology and tools, researching accounting and auditing issues, and documenting your findings.

• Working at client sites, with your team in the office, or remotely. We empower teams to prioritize client and teammate expectations, allowing you to determine the best work arrangements.

• Representing Grant Thornton at recruitment and professional networking events.

• Enhancing your technical and professional skills through formal training opportunities.

• Performing other duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.

• A minimum of two years of progressive public accounting experience with in-charge auditing responsibilities.

• Meeting the educational requirements for CPA certification in the state of employment.

• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities effectively.

• A commitment to teamwork, agility, and building strong professional relationships.

• Curiosity about or experience with automation and digitization tools in auditing or professional services.

• Willingness to travel as necessary (up to 25%).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
