Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Scheduling Specialist with expertise in Primavera P6 (P6) scheduling for data center construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules, ensuring timelines are met, and identifying potential risks to project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Development and Maintenance:
- Create and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (P6).
- Develop project baseline schedules in collaboration with the project team, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Perform regular updates to schedules based on actual progress, changes, and updates from stakeholders.
- Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather schedule input and updates.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that milestones are met on time.
- Track critical path activities and manage resource allocation.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential schedule risks and delays and provide proactive solutions.
- Monitor float and ensure that project timelines are adhered to without compromising quality.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and deliver detailed project schedule reports, including progress updates, milestones, and potential delays.
- Provide regular status updates to senior management and project stakeholders on schedule performance.
- Create and manage schedule variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Forecasting and Recovery Plans:
- Monitor schedule deviations and develop recovery plans when necessary.
- Forecast project completion dates and resource needs, adjusting as project dynamics evolve.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain all project scheduling documentation in compliance with organizational standards.
- Ensure that all schedules align with contract milestones, procurement requirements, and regulatory constraints.
- Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedule-related goals.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss schedule issues, progress, and adjustments.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale data center or construction projects.
- Proven experience with Primavera P6 (P6) for schedule management, including advanced functions (e.g., resource leveling, critical path analysis, forecasting).
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 software and scheduling best practices.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other project management software.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Critical Path Method, Earned Value Management).
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications:
- PMI-SP (Project Management Institute - Scheduling Professional) or equivalent scheduling certification is a plus.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is desirable.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project scheduling.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
