We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our research team at the University of Miami. As a Senior Clinical Research Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of clinical trials.

Job Summary

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients and evaluating plans, modifying treatment plans as needed, and reviewing diagnostic tests to assess patient condition. You will also consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, prepare patients for exams and procedures, and administer medications safely and accurately.

You will be expected to maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments, communicate with patients and families about plan of care, and use available resources to assist with discharge planning. Additionally, you will prioritize tasks, adjust assignments as needed, and seek assistance when necessary to ensure superior patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assess patients and evaluate plans, including documentation of nursing care and reporting symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs.
  2. Modify treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions, and physician orders.
  3. Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patient's condition.
  4. Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  5. Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  6. Administer and maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments as per regulatory bodies, policies, procedures, and physician orders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • Florida Registered Nurse License
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $70,000 and $110,000 depending on experience, plus additional compensation for sign-on bonus and other benefits.
