Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help patients with mobility: Assist with transfers, walking, and use of wheelchairs or other assistive devices.
- Monitor and record patients' physical and mental conditions: Report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Daily Living Support: Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary monitoring: Support patients in managing their medication schedules and remind them to take them as directed.
- Healthcare Support: Record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
- Assist in basic healthcare tasks: Assist in basic healthcare tasks as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Transport patients to medical appointments or treatments: As needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care, activities, and health status.
- Document any incidents or changes in the patient's condition: Ensure all care activities are conducted safely and in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Oregon Certification in caregiving or nursing assistance: Mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a caregiver.
- Familiarity with basic medical terms and practices: Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- First aid and CPR certification: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and supporting patients.
- Physical Requirements: Capacity to work long hours and manage stress effectively.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Compassionate: Demonstrates genuine concern and empathy for patients.
- Patient: Able to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
