Position Overview
The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Clinical Instructor with a specialization in Radiology, focusing on Cardiothoracic Imaging. This position involves a one-year non-ACGME fellowship as a junior faculty member. The role encompasses both clinical responsibilities and educational opportunities within the institution's hospital network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in clinical duties and training across affiliated healthcare sites.
- Collaborate with referring physicians to ensure the appropriate imaging studies are performed.
- Participate actively in the education of residents and medical students.
- Pursue research interests within the field of Cardiothoracic Imaging.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have completed a four-year residency program in radiology and be board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Candidates should also be able to secure an unrestricted medical license in South Carolina prior to the start of the fellowship.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks in both standing and seated positions (Frequent).
- Capability to work indoors consistently and outdoors occasionally in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. unassisted (Infrequent).
- Good peripheral vision and depth perception (Continuous).
- Frequent use of both hands and arms for job functions.
