Marine Shipfitter Specialist

Tradesmen International is a leading provider of skilled tradespeople for shipbuilding and repair projects in the US. We are currently seeking a qualified Marine Shipfitter to join our team in Freeport, FL. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in metal structural fabrication and shipfitting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for laying out and fabricating metal parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and bracing them into position within the hull of a ship. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Lay out and fabricate metal structural parts, including plates, bulkheads, and frames
• B race metal parts into position within the hull of a ship
• Roll, bend, flange, cut, and shape heavy metal parts using shop machinery
• Prepare molds and templates for fabrication of non-standard parts

• Able to read blueprints or templates
• Tools for the trade
• Proper PPE
• OSHA 10 preferred
