Job Summary:
GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our team in Malta, New York. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for process sustenance and development, including process variability reduction, recipe development, defectivity reduction, and process optimization for high-volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal customers and participate in development/manufacturing of unit processes for various technologies, including FinFET, Si Photonics, and more.
  • Improve process robustness for high-volume manufacturing using statistical tools, DOE techniques, data-driven decision making, and systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in support of throughput improvement, cost reduction, and yield learning.
  • Interact and collaborate closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders and teams, including equipment suppliers, equipment engineers and technicians, CFM (contamination-free manufacturing) team, PI (process integration) team, cost management, and quality assurance teams.
  • Effectively lead and deliver cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education - BS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Chemical, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of semiconductor process engineering experience.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal, and external partners.
  • Fluency in English Language - written & verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education - MS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Chemical, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
  • Experienced Process Engineer.
  • Understanding of FEOL and BEOL integration.
  • Experience and understanding of high-volume manufacturing.
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational skills demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adjust to shifting priorities, and meet business needs and commitments on time.
Salary Range: $91,000 - $170,000.00

The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
