About the Role

Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our team in San Marcos. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for retail customers, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering customer questions and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Operate the ReStore point of sale system, accurately processing transactions and handling cash and credit
  • Assist customers with finding merchandise, answering questions, and providing product information
  • Restock sales counter merchandise, maintain a clean and organized sales floor, and perform other duties as needed
  • Participate in annual inventory, assist with data entry, and perform other administrative tasks as required
Requirements
  • Experience in cash handling and customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising and ability to maintain a visually appealing sales floor
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lift 25lbs frequently
