BOP Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled BOP Technician - Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Deep Well Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, service, and repair of blowout prevention equipment, ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency in our operations.

• Perform routine maintenance and service tasks on blowout preventers, including Ram and spherical type equipment, to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
• Conduct pressure tests on serviced equipment to ensure safety and integrity.
• Manage inventory of consumable materials and parts for blowout prevention equipment.
• Organize and maintain the facility, including the testing station and BOP store room, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement a preventative maintenance system for blowout prevention equipment.
• Provide training and support to additional BOP Technicians as needed.
• Assist field personnel with job-related problems and provide technical support as required.
• Coordinate with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with API and company requirements.
• Perform field service tasks, including troubleshooting, repairs, and nipple up, as required.
• Maintain and operate hydraulic torque wrenches.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of experience working with blowout prevention equipment or related job experience.
• Prior experience with order desk and consumable materials management a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet minimum driving requirements for company insurance purposes.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.

The BOP Technician - Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel required (up to 60% of the time). The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
