About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our cardiology department, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with various heart conditions. Your expertise in cardiology will enable you to provide high-quality care to our patients and contribute to the advancement of our medical group.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient medical histories and conduct physical examinations to determine diagnoses.
  • Prescribe medication, therapy, and treatments as needed.
  • Work closely with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant or Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Physician Assistant license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices.
  • Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). May obtain within 6 months based on department discretion.
