We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiographer to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a Medical Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to our patient population, producing diagnostic exams, and operating equipment. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and possess outstanding communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Provide protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards and assist physicians in administering opaque media.
- Delegate areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures and may be responsible for specific areas of instruction in the school of technology and ancillary personnel.
- Assist in performing first aid, practice sterile techniques, and prevent cross-contamination.
- Conduct periodic quality control tests and participate or conduct research in required specialty.
- Teach radiology students or appropriate hospital personnel established procedures and operation of equipment, in accordance with the guidelines and teaching objectives of the department.
- Graduate from a Diagnostic Ultrasound Program.
- ARDMS Registered in RVT or CCI Registered in RVS.
- BLS Certification.
- One year experience in Vascular Ultrasound.
- Experience in General Ultrasound.
- RDMS Abdomen Registered or Registry eligible.
Stony Brook Medicine offers a competitive salary range of $89,403 - $113,385 (Prorated to.5 FTE) and a comprehensive benefits package, including generous leave, health plans, and state pension. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
