Position Overview
The College of Lake County Foundation is seeking a dedicated Marketing and Communications Specialist to enhance our fundraising and outreach initiatives. This role is vital in developing promotional and stewardship materials that support various programs, including Annual Giving and Alumni Relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective content strategies across diverse social media platforms.
- Oversee multiple social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Create visually appealing designs for various projects while maintaining brand integrity.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to manage production processes and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Provide logistical support for events, including organizing contracts and coordinating attendees.
- Prepare meeting materials and take detailed notes during planning sessions.
- Assist in the preparation of advancement materials and donor reports.
- Support the planning and execution of Foundation events, tracking project progress and budgets.
- Analyze fundraising performance and provide insights for future initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree or certificate in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proven creativity and skills demonstrated through a comprehensive media portfolio.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Desired:
- Familiarity with design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
