About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in administering high-energy radiation therapy treatments to patients with malignant and benign disease processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients with consideration of treatment techniques and patient's age and mobility.
  • Contribute to department efficiency by accurately scheduling, performing statistics, billing, documenting, checking charts, chart rounds, imaging, and other procedural activities.
  • Assist physicians and other staff during simulation, treatment room set-up, examinations, and special procedures with consideration of treatment techniques and patient's age and mobility.
  • Contribute to ongoing clinical instruction and evaluation of radiation therapy students.
Requirements:
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in Radiation Therapy (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 1 year of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a comparable health-related degree preferred.
  • One to two years of experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.
  • Experienced in quality assurance activities preferred.
