Job Overview

At AXA Investment Managers, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Debt Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for finance and real estate to contribute to the growth of our company.

As a Commercial Real Estate Debt Manager, you will play a critical role in managing privately-placed commercial real estate debt on behalf of our clients. You will be responsible for financial modeling and analysis, asset valuation, asset and market due diligence, processing borrower requests, and other special projects. Your ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate with others will be essential in achieving success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process borrower requests and prepare draft case recommendations for review, including loan modifications, assumptions, easements, casualty awards, future advances, reserve disbursements, lease reviews, partial releases, property manager changes, and loan payoffs.
  • Interface with third-party loan servicers and borrowers to monitor loan status and process requests.
  • Review and abstract loan documents for newly closed loans.
  • Manage and update pipeline reports detailing active borrower requests, loan tickler dates, springing reserve dates, and post-closing obligations.
  • Monitor watch lists to identify high-risk assets and provide regular updates on financial performance, market conditions, and expected outcomes.
  • Prepare annual loan summary reports for review, including collateral summaries, loan terms analyses, property condition reviews, market analyses, tenancy overviews, sponsorship summaries, re-underwriting of collateral, notable investment risks, and expected loan performance.
  • Review property and guarantor financial reporting packages and prepare summary reports for review.
  • Assist in underwriting refinances of existing loans.
  • Conduct physical inspections of loan collateral and prepare inspection reports.
