MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Medical-Psychiatric Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in psychiatric nursing and be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diseases and treatment modalities. You will consistently utilize psychotherapeutic interventions to assist patients in regaining or improving their previous coping abilities and preventing further disability.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in identifying at-risk behavior and implementing appropriate measures to provide a safe environment
  • Providing special patient precautions according to policy, including safety checks, close observation, suicide precautions, and constant observation 1:1
  • Maintaining correct procedure for unit and patient searches

Qualifications include a graduate degree from an accredited and/or approved practical nurse program, current licensure as a practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and current certification in CPR. 2-4 years of experience in healthcare and nursing services is strongly preferred.
