POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The primary goal of this role is to efficiently oversee retail store personnel and operations to meet financial targets. Key responsibilities encompass staff management and training, sales strategies, product presentation, signage, financial operations, and customer engagement. This position also collaborates with various operational sectors to optimize productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively manages store personnel and operations to fulfill financial objectives: Organizes and prioritizes operational needs, serving as a key resource for problem resolution.
  • Recruits and trains store personnel, assigns tasks, evaluates performance, and provides constructive feedback and coaching to ensure high productivity levels.
  • Identifies staff development needs and administers disciplinary actions when necessary, including termination.
  • Aims to meet or surpass revenue and expense targets outlined in the approved budget.
  • Maintains established customer service standards and addresses customer complaints as needed.
  • Plans and executes merchandising strategies, including store layouts, displays, and signage that comply with visual guidelines.
  • Oversees the unloading of goods and the return of items to the Distribution Center as required.
  • Follows established pricing and markdown protocols, ensuring accurate pricing on the sales floor.
  • Utilizes secure cash management practices in accordance with retail policies.
  • Keeps detailed records of store sales, receipts, and deposits, adhering to internal audit procedures.
  • Prepares work schedules for employees and program participants, ensuring accurate timekeeping and record maintenance.
  • Maintains volunteer records and relevant databases.
  • Ensures the store environment, including grounds and parking areas, is safe, clean, and orderly.
  • Orders supplies or requests maintenance services as necessary.
  • May require driving for company-related tasks.
  • Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma required; some college coursework in business or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three years of retail sales experience and two years in a supervisory role is desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings. Flexibility in work location may be necessary based on business requirements. Reliable transportation is required for company-related driving. A valid driver's license and acceptable DMV record are mandatory.
