Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing systems administration, technical support, upgrades, and troubleshooting services.
  • Install, configure, support, and maintain middleware to support DevOps tool sets.
  • Work closely with application and product teams to understand their specific automation requirements and implement optimal CICD pipelines.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to validate infrastructure code.
  • Identify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve code quality.
  • Maintain configuration and support documentation.
  • Manage assigned project components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Develop automation to further expand and refine DevOps tool sets.
Requirements:
  • Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • 6+ years of system administration in Linux, ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 8 and 9 (RHEL8/RHEL9).
  • Experience with Linux OS installation, security hardening, and maintenance.
  • Experience with administration and management of Linux servers to include installation, configuration, optimization, backup & recovery.
  • Experience with Linux performance tuning & troubleshooting, identifying and resolving contention in CPU, memory, networking, disk I/O, etc.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Experience with software development using Java, RESTful services.
  • Experience with data orchestration software such as Apache NiFi or StreamSets.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform capabilities, including good understanding of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Well-Architected Framework, AWS certification.
  • Knowledge and experience configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs).
  • Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments.
  • Familiarity with the following technologies in a cloud environment: ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), Ansible, Nessus, Zscaler, ClamAV, AIDE, Splunk, DNS, NAT, git, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field.
  • Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $179,000 USD, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
